About Artist :
Originally from Baccarat France the Durands worked with the renowned " Cristellaries de Baccarat before migrating to US in 1800'S. They worked with the Quiozel Art Glass in the 1920's and then later formed their own Company when Quiozel closed.
Their skills are seen at a number of glass factories in the United States prior to opening Vineland Flint Glass Works.
Victor Durand, Jr. eventually bought his father’s share of the business, and the company thrived during the early 20th C as his business holdings grew. In fact, Vineland was considered to be one of the most successful companies in the country at that time. As a result, the founders’ dream of producing art glass was set into motion.
Surely one sees their French influence and fine unique technique of fine glass from their experiences and influences from early era of Tiffany, Steuben and Baccarat at every piece and
