    Description

Very pretty girl by Fleischmann and Blodel, she is on her original walking body, not very often found. The body is a 5-piece body with straight legs and slightly bent arms. When her head is moved back and forth her legs move and the child playing with the doll could make her ‘walk’. Fleischmann and Blodel were known for making the animated toys. Her head is attached to a mechanism so it can be moved from side to side only when she ‘walks’, therefore, her head can never be tilted.
She is an adorable, happy child with a creamy bisque and nice rendered with set glass blue eyes, feathered brows, lots of painted lashes. An open smiling mouth expose little teeth. She retains her original, soft, mohair, blond wig and pate and shoes. She is wearing a pretty vintage organza type dress with pleats and a row of rosettes along the big collar with vintage undies underneath that almost fit to accommodate the big bottom the walkers dolls have.
She is in good condition considering her age and use; this was a doll that was played with so there are some repairs on the original body but she has all fingers and toes and moves very well. At some point the has some repairs down and repainted. It is solid and legs move fine, the arms stringing is also fine. The head is somehow attached to something so the legs move whenever her head is moved from side to side (or the legs are moved). So, it is not strung as other dolls.
The bisque is lovely but there is one very minor faint hairline on the left side, hard to see when her head is lighted, above 2 ink marks that didn’t come out when I cleaned her (they are not cracks and might still come out, they do not show when the wig is on). She and all of her clothing and wig have been hand washed so she is clean and ready for play or display. Walker bodies in this size by this doll maker are harder to find. She is marked on the back of her neck with a raised X and 4 beneath it, typical for Fleischmann.
