    Description

Very unique gorgeous collector treasure! This is a music box that plays some kind of Waltz style music. The doll is attached to the top of the box and is moving her head and hands according to the music. You can watch the video showing the doll in movement here: https://www.dollkingdomus.com/post/automata-and-toys-with-movement. The video is on the bottom of the page.
The doll with the music box is most likely a very old French replica of original antique automation doll. Made in France in the firs half of 20 century.
The doll has a bisque head that is marked on the back with 2 crossed arrows and symbol “C” between. The doll has stationary glass eyes, pierced ears and is coming with the earrings.
The body and the legs most likely are papier mache. The arms are wire with bisque hands. The right leg is attached to the music box. The bisque head is free of cracks and chips. Beautiful wig is not glued. It is coming with cork pate.
The dress of the doll is worn. It is all in holes and tears and is not removable. The music box works well. The base is in overall good condition with minor wear.
Dimensions: The bottom part is 5.5” long, 2.75” wide and 2.5” tall. The doll is about 8.5” tall with no wig and the overall heigh of the doll including the wig and the box is about 11.5”. Pease refer to the pictures and the short movie for more details.
