This is a beautiful 13 piece antique Japanese Nagura Nippon tea set, made of fine eggshell porcelain china, dating from the years 1920-1930's. Possibly an old Shofu Nagoya Nippon set. This set includes 1 teapot or chocolate pot with lid, 5 demitasse cups and 6 saucers. The hand painted design depicts a pagoda on a countryside scene with flowers, trees and gold trim. There's nice hand painted colors of pink, green, yellow and black with raised moriage on the flowers and dots. The teapot has holes inside for pouring and a hole on the lid for venting. These pieces are in very good condition, no damage seen. There are some minor imperfections, such as firing marks/age spots and one small pink stain on the inside of the pot. Please view the pictures for close up details. The teapot holds 3 1/2 cups and measures about 9 1/2" tall and 6 1/2" wide from the handle to spout. The cups measure about 3" tall and 3" wide from the handle. The saucers measure 5" in diameter. Marked underneath with "Trade Mark, Nagoya Japan" around a triangle with a backwards SS mark in red.
