    This is an adorable antique TRINKET BOX - a truly "Rare" piece of WAVE CREST CRYSTAL.  The shape is the familiar Helmschmied Swirl in clear, lightly frosted glass with a light opalescent shimmer, hand painted with purple Thistles and multi-colored leaves.  Unmarked - C.F. Monroe/Wave Crest - circa 1900.
